Meet the Matchmaker Team!

Beth Burnette, Team Support.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington and is also certified to teach Middle School Science and Social Studies.  Prior to working with Matchmaker, she gained experience in the management field as the GM of a movie theatre chain for 4 years. Beth became a Certified Transportation Broker in 2008 after successfully completing the online course offered by the Transportation Intermediaries Association and has over 15 years practice in sales. 


Hillary Hall, Accounting/HR, earned a BS in Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2006.  She began her career at Matchmaker in October 2004 while still attending school, and has been full-time with the company since September 2006. 


Pam Carrier, Carrier Coordinator.  Pam received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.  She became a Certified Transportation Broker and has also completed Dale Carnegie Training in Effective Communication and Human Relations back in 2007. She deals directly with our carriers concerning flatbeds, over dimensional, and vans. 


Mary Nicholas, Sales support and rating.  She started with Matchmaker in July 1999, and is a native of Wilmington, NC. She graduated Cape Fear Community College's Dale Carnegie Course and is also a Certified Transportation Broker. She has recently relocated to Alabama.


Tammy Brown joined Matchmaker Transportation in 2006 after 9 years in the Army as a communications specialist. Since joining the Matchmaker team, Tammy has completed her BS in Business Management with the University of Phoenix. She has also completed the Certified Transportation Broker Course in 2007 as well as the Dale Carnegie course in Effective Communication and Human Relations. Tammy works from a satellite location in Bloomington, Indiana.


Eric Robb, Operations Team Leader, earned a BS in Management from Western Illinois University in 2004.  He became a Certified Transportation Broker in 2005 after successfully completing the online course offered by the Transportation Intermediaries Association.  Eric also completed the Partnership Selling in the Supply Chain course offered by the Transportation Intermediaries Association in 2005.


Bob Skane is Matchmaker's Vice President and Co-Owner of the company. He earned a BA in Economics from Providence College in 1986 and an MBA from University of North Carolina Wilmington in 1995. In 2001, he became a Certified Transportation Broker by successfully completing the online courses offered by the Transportation Intermediaries Association.


Jim Skane, Jr. is President and Co-Owner of Matchmaker. He earned an ABA in Business from Sacred Heart University and has pursued studies for a BA in Psychology at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. Jim most enjoys the sales responsibilities of his position, travel, and getting to know new clients.
