Matchmaker employees take pride in their community by contributing to a quarterly service project. Some of our most successful projects include one Christmas when we selected the name of an eight-year-old girl recovering from a serious illness from Wachovia's Angel Tree. The employees and the company contributed money and the ladies from accounting went shopping! Lots of clothes, games, toys and just about anything with a butterfly on it - she loves butterflies - were selected with care and delivered to Wachovia. Also, in 2007 Matchmaker Transportation put on a clothing drive that supported a local domestic violence shelter for women.

Currently, we are doing a food drive for a local food pantry, Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, which is affiliated with Grace United Methodist Church. The company and employees will be donating non perishable food items as well as money to go purchase items to bring to the food pantry. We will be delivering everything right before Thanksgiving 2008. Matchmaker Transportation and the employees have embraced these opportunities to give back to their community.
